How The Bible And The Lord Of The Rings Are The Same. (Part One)

How The Bible And The Lord Of The Rings Are The Same.  (Part One)

As most people know J.R.R. Tolkien made the L.O.T.R. series based on a Christian world point of view.  Most people don’t see it that way but if you look and listen closely you will see what he was talking about.  In the first movie, The Fellowship of the Ring, it started out with the fact that the ring was evil and as time goes on it gets more evil.  The ring is representing temptation and that is what our world is still struggling with and always will be.  The Great Eye is representing Satan and he is using the ring to tempt and destroy people.  In Proverbs 13:20 which says “He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.”  That is just like the movie, when Frodo is with the ring he later suffers harm to himself and to his friends but he is doing it for good.  To destroy the ring those who seek to help him will lift him up in any way that they can.

The Man Who Helped All This Come To Life!

“Everyone thought that the ‘Hobbit’ was going to be one of the first productions in the movie world that J.R.R. Tolkien had written, since it was the starting book of the other three sequels that he would later write.  The ‘Hobbit’ was not even supposed to be a movie production, but it did… after the three hour long movies that were first.   The person that directed the ‘Lord of the Rings’ and is currently directing ‘The Hobbit’ is a man named Peter Jackson.  That great man did so much and made some of the best movies in the world.  You can only congratulate him and hope he does more for our entertainment.  Mr. Jackson gives life and meaning to his movies and approaches them from a special point of view, while some people just rush through their movies just to make the dough.   Mr. Jackson looks at every little flaw and turns it into something great and that is what gives him the courage to make 3 more three hour long movies.

The L.O.T.R or Lord of the Rings series and ‘The Hobbit’ are not the only movies Mr. Jackson has made.  His first one, other than one when he was a child who made a World War II movie in his own backyard, was ‘Bad Taste’ in 1988.  That was a hit!  Another one was ‘Meet the Feebbles’ and so on and so on.  One of his favorites was the famous movie (That everyone LOVES) ‘King Kong.’  After all of his experience you can see why the studios chose him to direct, our much beloved movie, ‘The Hobbit.’  -- Smaug
