Who Is The Most Beautiful Of Them All?
Cate Blanchett plays Galadriel the Elven queen
in ‘The Hobbit’ and all of the L.O.T.R series (Lord of the Ring series). She has won the Oscar award and many of the Lord of the Rings fans
were surprised to see her. She is also
known as The Lady of Lothlorien or The hope against darkness. Galadriel was not mentioned in the noel but
she does appear in the movie. Cate says,
“It was a homecoming. So much has
changed for us all personally and professionally, but it is a testament to the
unwavering integrity and talent of Peter, Fran, Philippa, and the crew that the
atmosphere seemed as fresh, engaged, risky, and unpretentious as the first time
around. The actors are all 10 years
older but hopefully wiser as well—and wisdom is a friend when tackling Tolkien.”
In the
Lord of the Rings Galadriel believes that she is the most beautiful elf around. That happens when she is being tempted by the
ring. Everything goes blue around her
and she says something like she will be loved by all and worshiped. With the ring she believes that she could
come to be, but realizes that it could/should not be so. –Smaug
